After a glorious Geburtstagfest in Gasthaus Isarthor, we have a 6-day sojourn in the hut where I can now bake, cook & shower. ✔︎

24. Heilige Abend 🕯
Pumpkin lasagna & Rosenkohlsalat. Winged the lasagne and layered roasted buttnernut squash with leek, shallots, apple, cream cheese, gorgonzola, maple syrup, balsamic, lots o' olio and topped with parmigiano. Some pasta parts were a bit chewy/tough, which can most likely be ameliorated by mixing the syrup & balsamic with olive oil before spreading over noodles.

25. Christmas Crasher
Tortiglione with roasted hokkaido, red pepper, tomato, onion, garlic and feta cheese. No spices necessary. Blended half the roasted stuff with a little oil (noodle water would also be good as thinner) as a sauce with the rest streuseled over the top.

26. 2nd Christmas Day
Gorging on gourds with butternut AND hokkaido on the menu today: roasted squash, apple & walnut risotto. Roasted the butternut whole to use some for pie later and to purée the rest to mix into the risotto. Hokkaido, onion, apple, garlic, walnut & sage roasted in a vinaigrette of maple syrup, balsamic & olio.
