July 2019: Climate Crisis

The first Democratic primary debates occurred at the end of June.  Due to the crazy amount of candidates, they debated in two groups over two nights for a total of 4 hours.

Nearly 7 minutes of these 4 hours were dedicated to the climate crisis.  Nearly 7 minutes more than any previous debates!  That is 2,9% of the debate to address the most urgent issue of our time.

Jay Inslee positions himself as the environmental candidate and proposed a debate centered solely on the climate crisis.  The DNC not only shot that down, but further said that participation in any unsanctioned debate barrs participation in all future official Democratic primary debates.  No words.
